Zealot Frenzy Core Mechanics
« on: February 28, 2015, 05:27:22 PM »
behind the scene details .....

-Every hero has 25% spell damage resistance.

-The mid shop energy aura is percentage based.. So it will recoup the energy of intelligence heroes faster . Strength heroes the lowest

-Speed scroll has a max cap of 4.1 move-speed

-Mercenary's get a free upgrade mid-late game to keep them relevant threw-out the game

- All units now have warcraft 3 armor.   Refer to this chart to see the reduction per  point of armor   http://classic.battle.net/war3/pdf/armorattackdefense.pdf

-all melee units minimum range is .4

-You need vision to kill with Artifact. Tip ..Try to send units to each base as you are about to kill with it. It will kill whatever is visible.

-Units/hero kill experience is shared globally now if no hero is around to collect the experience.

-The photon cannon does not grant experience bountys to the units it kills but you will get minerals for the kills.

-You can use chronoboost on your photon cannon.

-every unit that has a "summoned tag" can be killed with a "grapehead" mercenary , that includes mirror images.. However its not worth grapeheading the images since they have no bounty ( on blade) but i thought i'd mention you could grapehead it.

-Spell Immunity.. So what is spell immunity.. It basically means you cannot be targeted by any negative spell. This also includes every item "ability" such as speed scroll or damage booster.      What is a negative spell? A negative spell is a unit target ability that affects the target in a negative way, such as like stuns, slows, damage. That sort of stuff.   However positive spells still do work on spell immune targets. Positive spells are like Queen transfusion/ egon heal spray.           Just note as well that spell immunity doesnt always mean 100% spell damage resistant .  A unit could have spell immunity yet still take damage from none unit target-able spells such as like Nitro Flamewave.

Here is a list of the units in ZF that use spell immunity.   Queen Spine crawlers, A.R.E.S pocket Factory and Blademaster Bladestorm, Special Ops Dropship.

A.R.E.S pocket factory can still be damaged by AOE like nitro wave.

The only flat damage reduction there is in ZF now is from the item "berserkers mask".

Everything else is % based reduction.                       I guess with berserkers mask the reduction is % based first, then -7 from each attack.
